“Ganpati” is the God with whom
every auspicious work begins. He is the God of knowledge and removal of
obstacles! Ganpati Festival is celebrated with a lot of zest in India and people
establish Ganpati Idols at home, worshipping it every day!
Current Scenario:
Earlier, the idols used to be made
with clay only but now-a-days, with increased popularity, people have started
using different binding materials and chemicals. These idols, when submerged in
water, do not dissolve and disturb the marine ecosystem. Such harm to the
environment ultimately harms our own well being!
Our Contribution:
Empros International School is
doing its own part to save the environment by organizing a workshop on “Making of Eco-friendly Ganpati Idol” for
the kids and their parents. This is an exercise for the kids to understand the
importance of the festival, the current scenario of damage to the Mother Earth and
how they can be a part in saving it!
The Workshop:
Mr. Sunil Hambir, a well known
artist, will teach how to make eco-friendly Ganpati Idols with natural clay without
using any type of moulds! This technique will help boost the creativity in the
kids and also inculcate the habit of preservation of nature. A workshop where
both learning and fun is combined!
The Fun is happening at:

Double Tree Hilton Hotel,
